Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre (FLCT) was conceptualized by a couple of mothers in 1952 and is one of the rare theaters in the United States who use children and young adults not only as actors but backstage crew, technicians and assistant directors as well. Enthralling audiences through many decades now with their superb productions, the main focus of the theater is to develop cultural opportunities for kids in a safe, creative and fun environment. With various outreach programs, classes, camps and shows, they have created an impact on many young people and their families. FLCT has also won many awards for its contribution to the community as well as theater.

The Walt Grace Vintage showroom is a melange of Americana, a place where you can see (or buy) classic guitars and cars, but you better be prepared to shell out plenty. The cars on display include vintage machines from Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar and Mercedes Benz while some of the guitars hail from the 1950s as well as signature models from superstars. Even if you don't want to buy, if you are interested in guitars and cars, Walt Grace is just the place.
Nature lovers will thoroughly enjoy this attraction, especially bird lovers. Wakodahatchee was built by the Water Utilities Department as a sanctuary for many species of birds, turtles and small native animals who drop by throughout the year. A three quarter mile boardwalk takes visitors around this beautiful site, where they can observe the wildlife in its natural habitat, possibly catching a glimpse of an alligator down in the water here and there. Free of charge and rarely crowded, Wakodahatchee is a lovely, relaxing escape, suitable for small children all the way up to seniors. Call ahead for hours.
