Designed by the architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier, the Kunsthaus Graz is a museum that keeps up with the international standards. The residents of Graz, the capital city of Styria, Austria, often drive over to Thalersee for a day-out. In around 1920, this lake was artificially brought to being in the valley of the Unterthal castle. Five years late Hans von Reininghaus began the work to expand the area of the lake. During the winter, the whole lake turns to ice, making it a wonderful ice-skating rink. On the banks of the lake is a slow and comfortable café of the same name where visitors can eat, relax and take in the sights.

In more recent times, this boulevard is a public hub connecting the Hauptplatz square to the Iron Gate. FRida & freD is a children’s museum located upon Friedrichgasse in the Austrian city of Graz. The ‘kindermuseum’ is divided for age groups of 3-7 and 8-13. The children play and learn by means of fun and exciting games. The games teach children a variety of topics from robotics to the making of chocolate. The KNOPFtheater stages new shows for the children’s benefit. The exhibit themes keep changing to include varied subjects. With a lovely garden and café nearby, this is a great spot to take your kids for the day.
Located in Graz, the Messe Congress Graz Betriebsgesellschaft is a pride of the city. This venue has excellent acoustic and state of the art sound systems. The Basilika Stift Rein or the Rein Abbey is a not just any Cistercian monastery, but the oldest and the only structure of its kind in existence the world. The architecture of the Basilika Stift Rein bears Romanesque influences while its courtyard has a striking Renaissance style, making the Baroque church a beautiful amalgamation of eye-catching styles. The portrait known as the 'Adoration of the Shepherds' graces the altar of this abbey; a sight to behold. This is also the resting place of founder Margrave Leopold I. His grave was discovered during a major excavation in the year 2006.
A visit to the Schokoladenmanufaktur Zotter is a dream come true for any chocolate lover. While touring this coco haven, one gets to be up, close and personal with all the exotic ingredients that go into the making of their delish chocolates; the tour starts with a visit to the Zotter Schoko-Laden-Theater.
