Touted to be one of the tallest waterfalls in this region, the Tews Falls are a part of the Spencer Gorge / Webster's Falls Conservation Area. Here, one can enjoy the scenic beauty of the conservation area as well as the waterfall.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a delightful spread of deciduous forest to the south of Oakville. This park also features vegetation typical of Carolinian forest and prairie regions. Spread across 684 hectares (1690 acres), the park offers wonderful camping spaces, scenic trails that run for 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), picnic tables, huge swimming pool, skating rink and children's playground for recreation. A nature center, farm and museum are also located on site.
Surrounding the tranquil Crawford Lake, a conservation zone was established on the Niagara Escarpment in Milton in 1969. Spread over 232 hectares (573.28 acres) Crawford Lake Conservation Area, is a wonderful to escape from your daily life and feel oneness with nature. The grounds are home to a heritage site, an interpretive lookout and a replication of the Iroquois community from the 15th Century. A beautiful path around the lake, trails for hiking and skiing are also located here.

Kids will love the different attractions at the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. The zoo sponsors educational programs through the season and these include animal visits and engaging stories and fun facts about each creature. The zoo's five-acre woodland is perfect for a relaxed stroll and a chance to spot indigenous wildlife. Kids especially enjoy the petting zone where they can get up close and personal with cute animals like Pygmy Goats. The zoo's collection of animals range from the domestic to exotic like kangaroos, tigers, peacocks, and lions.
