The famed Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site is situated at Haviland in Hyde Park, in Dutchess County. It comprises of a massive 181 acres (0.73 square kilometers) of land area. It was actively established on May 27, 1977. The site pulls in great crowds every year. According to the 2005 statistics, the number of annual visitors to the site is 52,690. The site occupies great historic importance and is also fondly referred as Val-Kill.

Formerly known as the Poughkeepsie Bridge, it is now transformed into the Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park. The pedestrian walkway bridge is most celebrated for the fact that it is the longest footbridge across the globe. The bridge was included in the National Register of Historic Places.

Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center is a historical art museum named after a donor and member Frances Lehman Loeb. The museum is a part of Vassar College established in 1864. There is a vast collection of 19000 art works including sculptures, paintings, prints, photographs, glass and ceramic wares. Free guided tours are available to view the marvelous architecture, art exhibitions and events.
