Musée du Vieux Moudon has some of the most eclectic collections, which mainly center around life in Moudon in ancient times. From artifacts representing upper class decor, craftsmanship of peasants and parts of cobblestone streets, to temporary exhibitions based around art and culture of this beautiful town, visitors who come here are guaranteed to have a deeper knowledge of this picturesque, countryside dwelling.
Reformed Church of Saint-Symphorien is a relatively newer building, constructed in the 16th century. But the original parish dates back to the 6th century, hailing from a village called Glerula. This village was destroyed by a giant wave and its ruins can still be seen beneath the church. Moreover, the stained glass windows and the picturesque bell tower adds to the church's historical significance.
Standing tall beside the Vevey-Marche river is the life-size bronze statue of the greatest showman of all time, the one and only Charlie Chaplin. The statue was erected to commemorate the 25 years that he spent in the town of Vevey after he was denied entry into the United States on the grounds of McCarthyism. Here he is dressed as a tramp, the role which he played in the legendary movie Modern Times that released in 1936.
The Place Du Tunnel is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city of Lausanne. A number of cafes and restaurants are located around the square. Art lovers can visit the Tunnel Tunnel art gallery located in the square premises.
Romont Castle is in the Canton of Fribourg and municipality of Romont. Built around 921 CE it is a heritage site located atop a hill in the small town of Romont. It is surrounded by medieval churches and houses with old town walls. The castle also has the museum of stained-glass called Vitromusee in its main grounds with a display of reverse glass paintings. A guided tour of the museum is available to view wooden-draw wheels, parapet walkways and very old trees that have been well-preserved.
The Mezieres Castle is located in the Canton of Fribourg and is regarded as a Swiss heritage site. It is well-known for its wallpapers dating back to the 1770s. The rare wallpapers are showcased in the castle in the form of the Wallpaper Museum. Guided tours of the castle are conducted on a regular basis.
