The first Russian Orthodox parish in Switzerland settled in Bern in 1816. The Église Russe was built in 1878 in Vevey, Switzerland.
Le Chasseron is an alpine mountain and is a part of the Jura mountain range. One can get a good view of the town of Sainte-Croix once at the top. The mountain stands at a height of 1607 meters/5272 feet above sea level. It is said to have been listed as one of the most isolated mountains in the country.
Housed in the cellar of the Domaine de Montbenay winery, the Musée du Vigneron features a revelation of ancient viticulture traditions that date back to the Middle Ages. The museum is home to several traditional winemaking devices and exhibits that range from an 18th-century wooden wine press and bottling tools, to sandblasted glasses, ancient carafes, and wine pitchers. Several of these tools are theorized to have been left behind by the monks of Abbaye de Montbenoit, who legend has it, planted one of the very first vines here.

Staying true to its course, this winery puts its products together, solely using ingredients sourced from the region and of course, its own vineyard. Also one of the most picturesque sites in the region, here one can sample a fine varietal, while basking in the serenity of the town. Visitors can also take a guided tour of winery and vineyard, wherein one can get a first-hand account of the various process and stages of crafting the finest batch of wine.
Terres de Lavaux offers some of the best varietals of the region's wines. Set against the backdrop of the famous terraced vineyard of Lavaux, this is where one can enjoy the best the city has to offer- wine and fine views. Boasting a collection of wines that encapsulate the essence of the region, each varietal has a its own peculiar characteristic, which sets it apart from the rest. Wine tasting tours are also organised at the neighboring vineyards, where one can learn a thing or two about the art of wine-making, as well as sample some of the finest wines of the region.
