Sankt Peter is located on gentle slopes in the heart of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. The town was established and grew around the 11th-century Abbey of St. Peter in the Black Forest and is a prominent pilgrimage site in the region. The Benedictine monastery, with its Baroque church and library are the pick of the town's attractions. Beyond this, there are numerous hiking trails and scenic routes for visitors to explore the pristine locales around the town.
Alpirsbach is a wonderful town known for its concert events at the Alpirsbach Abbey, most famously the Hopfenfest. The abbey itself is a marvel to look at, combining Romanesque and Gothic elements in a sublime manner. This scenic town in the Black Forest is also known for its unique wood framed houses, which spans most of the older settlement. The Old Town Hall is also something amazing to look at, and the gastronomic scene is fantastic too.
