Known previously as the Historical and Ethnological Museum of St.Gallen, the Kulturmuseum has been retitled today to showcase an in-depth focus on history, archaeology, and ethnology. A collection of regional history, folklore, and weapons is put forth to the public in the historic halls here. Also housed in the premises is a children's museum. Apart from featuring various permanent exhibits in the core areas mentioned, it also presents several temporary and special exhibitions. An informational and educational museum, it is one of the best places to learn more about the country, the city, and even the cultures of the world.
Kristallhöhle, translated to 'crystal cave', is located to the north of the town of Kobe walk and is said to have been discovered in the 17th century. A visit to this large water-bearing cave is a unique experience with the water gushing through and the play of light within the cave exercising a nearly hypnotic effect on you. Guided tours through the cave are available making your visit here fascinating and extremely informative.
Situated at the heart of the little city of Roggwill Tg, Huus Braui is where some of the regions finest brews take shape. Pioneers in German-style pilsner and lager beer, its brews are known for their impeccable natural, earthy flavor. Only the finest hops, malt and barley go into the brews produced here, which is probably why it seldom fails to offer a near perfect batch of beer. Tours of the brewery are organised on request, however, one can sample some of the in-house brews at the taproom next door.
