The Carnegie Center for Art & History is a contemporary art gallery, and also serves as a local history museum. It serves as a cultural resource by collecting, preserving and interpreting the history and heritage of Floyd County. Here visitors can enjoy art works in a variety of media, take part in lectures and workshops based on exhibits, and learn more about the colorful history of Floyd County. There is a section dedicated to temporary exhibits and its content change every month. While the permanent exhibit section, is home to the Underground Railroad in the Louisville area, and mechanical dioramas created by a local craftsman. Visitors can check their website for upcoming exhibitions, while kids can enjoy 'The Saturday Children's Experience' which is offered once a month. Throughout the year, the museum offers an opportunity to meet artists and see their exhibits.
Cardinal Arena situated on the campus of Louisville University is a volleyball arena that plays host to the home matches of the college volleyball team Louisville Cardinals. This arena is equipped with comfortable seats, players' lounge, locker rooms, training rooms and a common area. The flooring of the court is Teraflex providing the perfect setting for hosting an interesting match of volleyball. This arena underwent a major renovation in 2017 giving it a complete facelift.
Sede del famoso Derby de Kentucky, Churchill Downs representa la primera fecha de la carrera de caballos de la Triple Corona (Preakness y Belmont Stakes son las otras dos). Es un lugar multiusos que alberga principalmente eventos deportivos de la Universidad de Louisville como baloncesto femenino y masculino, aunque también acoge eventos de drama, comedia, danza, artes escénicas, y mucho más. El predio tiene capacidad para más de 20000 espectadores, y es un gran lugar para ver un espectáculo de cualquier tipo.
