Bellingrath gardens, a creation of Mr. & Mrs. Bellingrath, was first opened to public in 1932. The couple announced in 1932, when a national garden club meeting took place, that anyone wanting to see their garden could do so for free. On visiting it you would be a witness to different colors and fragrances, depending on which season of the year you visit. Different kinds of flowers grow there: camellias, azaleas, roses, chrysanthemums, to name a few. The Bellingrath home built in 1935 has 15 rooms and was built by the famous architect, George B. Rogers. Made with hand-made bricks this garden encompases 10,500 square feet of space. A visit to the house gives you the classic Renaissance feel. Visit Bellingrath Gardens & Homes and revel in the nature's beauty.
