St. Peter's Cathedral

The St. Peter's Cathedral is a historic cathedral located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Also the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton, it was built in 1867 in the Romanesque style of architecture by Joel Amsden and Lewis Hancock. The cathedral features two towers, a pedimented portico, Greek style pillars and arched windows depicting various scenes from the Bible. The façade of the church is strikingly symmetric.
