This museum is dedicated to the study of the science of education, that already at the end of the XIX century was gaininig importance in teh University of Padua. The museum counts on a very extensive archive of documents and texts dedicated to this discipline but also toys, furnitures that were used in the schools. It hosts frequently seminars and conferences and it partipates to the ones organized all over Italy. It's open for guided tours for school and public in general.
The Museo Civico della Laguna Sud is housed in the Convent of San Francesco, which has a history dating back to the 13th Century. The convent ceased to be a monastery in 1806 and changed hands many times since, finally becoming an archaeological and ethnographic museum in 1997. Today, the museum presents didactic displays that trace the history and evolution of the Chioggia coastal region beginning in the Bronze Age through the 19th Century. Recently, the museum has given exhibition and studio space to sculptors, visual artists, poets, writers, and artisans, and has played host to local and international art exhibitions.
Venecia tiene solamente cuatro puentes que cruzan el Canal Grande. El Ponte dell'Accademia es uno de ellos y conecta los barrios de San Marco y Dorsoduro. Fue originalmente construido en 1854, pero fueron necesarias dos reconstrucciones más para que adquiriese su apariencia actual. Si bien el puente en sí no tiene gran atractivo, sí ofrece una postal bellísima de las góndolas que se deslizan por el Canal Grande y de la luz del sol que se refleja en el agua y crea un sinfín de tonos rojizos cuando rebota en los edificios venecianos. También es un espacio muy romántico en el que se reunen las parejas para contemplar el atardecer. Si bien es una práctica ilegal, muchas parejas ponen talismanes y candados en los barrotes de metal del Ponte dell'Accademia como símbolo de su amor eterno.
