Alberto's may have a sizeable menu offering pizzas, pastas like ravioli and lasagna, chicken dishes, and above all ceviche and other seafood specialties, but the top draw is the stunning view out over the marina, to where the city skyline stands proudly downtown. The cuisine brings together Italian and other European-Mediterranean influences, and the restaurant does not fail to offer proper ice creams to finish off the meal. Tables are set up straight across the street to better enjoy the views near the water's edge, as well as in the covered porch area and the air-conditioned dining room. Patrons find the menu and all the dining areas to be pleasantly spacious and sophisticated.
Under the unmistakable thatch roofs peaking over the dining room and little gazebos of Mi Ranchito, just at the middle of the Calzada de Amador, patrons enjoy the spectacular views over the water to the Panama City skyline and the constant cool breeze accompanying great Panamanian dishes and drinks. For the view, for the cold smoothies, or for the swimming pool, this is easily one of the busiest spots on the Calzada any day, and at night features traditional music or other live acts. Mi Ranchito stays open past midnight all week, except on Sundays.
In the heart of Panama City's nightlife scene, the sultry scents and blissful flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine fill the dining room at Habibi's up to the white canopy-draped ceiling and spill out to the tables placed on the open-air roofed porch. Hookahs and various drinks make great accompaniments to mainly Lebanese cuisine; light fare includes treats like hummus or baba ganoush with hot pita bread or baklava for customers in the mood for a sweet. Heartier meals include falafel and shish kabobs, or more familiar fare such as pizza, pasta dishes, and Cajun chicken. Patrons are often treated to the shimmies and jingles of a talented belly dancer on Friday and Saturday nights.
