Located in downtown San Antonio, the Alamodome employs the latest in dome architecture and engineering technology to maintain a state-of-the-art facility for sporting events, concerts and conventions. The facility is used for purposes as diverse as basketball, football and baseball while the expansive space can accommodate up to 65,000 spectators. The stadium also has ice rinks, in addition to the other sport facilities. Restaurants and luxury suites form a part of the sports complex. Various local and national level stature have also taken place at the Alamodome.
Head here for a tour of the fine brewery at Alamo Beer Company. This brewery produces good quality beers that are served in the adjoining tasting room. Alamo Pilsner, Holiday IPA and Alamo Golden Ale are some exciting brews that must be tried. Take a quick tour of the brewery and then sit back and enjoy the food put together by Chef Jeff Balfour. Each of the beers created by Les Locke has a distinct flavor that stands out from the others. A special favorite is the Smoke on the Water that is recommended to be enjoyed along with Boiled Shrimp and Pork Jowl. Plenty of outside-seating also allows diners to enjoy the fine weather.

Replacing Downtown San Antonio's old Children's Museum, the DoSeum covers a sprawling 65,000 square feet with an additional 39,000 of outdoor space. This high tech children's museum is all about learning and exploring through hands on exhibits. Six main exhibits include the Sensation Studio, Explore, Innovation Station, Little Town, Spy Academy, and Imagine It!. The Spy Academy lets kids become 'recruits' where they face challenges in solving math-based missions, while the Imagine It! exhibit lets kids become authors as they write, record and illustrate their own stories that then come life. Check out the outdoor space which is organized by age levels where toddlers and youngsters will love to play along the Children's River, while the older kids can burn off some energy at the Water Works or Big Climb exhibit. The onsite cafe, and museum store ensure that snacks and souvenirs are readily available.
