Though a small venue, The Lost Church covers a broad spectrum of arts. It does not restrict itself to a particular art form and dabbles in art installations, theater, film screenings, live music and so forth. Interestingly, this building was used in different capacities ranging from art gallery, rehearsal space to a studio and its history is as vivid as its event line-up. You can also rent the place for recordings, intimate gatherings, private parties and shows.
Located across the Bay Area, the Kala Art Institute was founded in 1974 to act as a springboard for professional artists. Periodical classes and workshops are also held for children and amateur artists. In the past, the institute's gallery has showcased works of artists such as Stella Ebner, Clint Wilson, and Chris Fraser.
Home to a Tea House, The Salon and the Bamboo Studio, The Center displays a wonderful confluence of wellness, spirituality and a community spirit. All the three rooms and their charming patio can be rented out, should you want to host a private event. The decadent Tea House is a mellow delight with brick-exposed walls and dim chandeliers, while its expanse is dotted with pretty brick-a-brac. It comes complete with a range of organic, authentically sourced teas like the Oolong Tea and Five Mountains Tea. Famed for its yoga, wellness and spiritual programs, the center also hosts a number of classes and events centered around the same.
