The most amazing and memorable collections are housed at the National Museum. Some include depictions of Trinidad and Tobago's national festival, Carnival, life during World War II, and artifacts from the country's earliest settlers, the Amer-Indians. There are also displays by leading local and international artists as well as thought-provoking exhibitions put on by the museum itself.

The Botanic Gardens

Situated north of the Queen's Park Savannah and adjacent to President's House, the Botanic Gardens covers an area of 38 hectares. It was laid out in 1818 by Governor Ralph Woodford, and is home to several varieties of tropical and sub-tropical trees, along with trees from India, Burma and South America. A section of the grounds houses a cemetery known as "God's Acre," where the remains of several national figures are interred. The gardens pose as the backdrop for wedding photos and family gatherings, and are a favourite spot of nature enthusiasts.

Queen’s Hall

The Queen’s Hall is ideally located in the heart of Port of Spain close to top hotels and the capital city. This performing arts theater has been in existence for years but has recently undergone renovations that have boosted its technical, parking, seating, state-of-the-art lighting and sound capabilities. It hosts theatrical performances, stunning dance and fabulous music concerts. Recent shows include the stage-play ‘Rent’ and the equally popular play ‘Mama Mia’. - Nadia Ali

The Little Carib Theatre

The Little Carib Theatre is located in the center of Woodbrook just on the outskirts of Port of Spain. The theater was established in 1947 by the then 52-year old local dancer, Beryl McBurnie. Since, then the theater was recently closed for two years to undergo an overhaul. One of the improvements here is an upgraded stage, lighting and sound system, which was perfect for 3 Canal (one of the most popular local groups that continue to frequent the Little Carib Theatre) to continue to perform stunning stage performances. - Nadia Ali
