Arte Della

Italy is the birth place of pizza hence when your stroll through Venice you are bound to have rendezvous with a number of pizzeras but very few places will have the charm like this little take-out joint at Calle Dell'Aseo called Arte Della. They are famous of their enormous pizzas graced with humble toppings such as olives, mozzarella, onions, bacon, potatoes, pepperoni, tomatoes and peppers. The place is typically a take-out but they do have a few stools lined around the joint where you can wait and grab a bear till your pizza arrives. Their service is quite prompt and genial which makes the place even more approachable. Call in your order and take it out later but make sure you arrive before 9:00p.

Antico Forno

Antico Forno is an example of why one shouldn't judge a restaurant by its appearance. Though this place looks tiny from the outside what matters the most are the delicious and freshly baked pizzas that they churn out by the minute. While strolling at the Ruga Vecchia San Giovanni, if you see a crowd waiting or making orders to a small window be sure that this is Antico Forno. From classic margherita to a plethora of other options, Antico Forno is responsible for spoiling locals with delicious yet cheap pizzas. If visiting Venice, a trip to Antico Forno is a must. They serve pizzas that will delight the palates of adults as well as children.

Frito-Inn

The only way to locate Frito-Inn is to spot a large crowd around a window at the Campo San Leonardo. Every morning people assemble around their stall waiting to get their hand on some of Frito's perfectly fried calamari, Mozzarella in carrozza, prosciutto and more. The best thing about Frito-Inn is that they serve freshly caught fried fish in an amicable Italian atmosphere at cheap prices. Wash down your seafood with a glass of white wine or soft drinks and call it a meal!

Al Vapperetto

Tucked away between the Campo Sant’Angelo and Campo Manin is a hidden gem called Al Vapperetto; an Italian restaurant, pizzeria as well as a lovely cafe. As you enter inside the restaurant the warm greetings of the lovely staff make you feel comfortable almost instantly. The place is small but has comfortable seating spaces and can easily accommodate parties and families. Made to look like an Italian home, every dish served here has a home made touch. Select from a variety of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads and soups, all the courses will only delight your palate. This is a perfect spot for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries as well as for having family gatherings.

Ae Oche

Ae Oche serves typical Venetian pizzas at traditional prices. This is one of the few restaurants in Venice where you can eat until late. There are about 100 different types of pizza to choose from, so, no matter how fussy one is about their preference here you will find something for every taste. These freshly baked pizzas are enormous in sizes and high on taste. In addition to pizzas, the place serves delectable pastas and seafood dishes. Located near the train station, it attracts many patrons from outside of the city too.

Pasticceria Rizzardini

When you are strolling through Calle dei Meloni, the gorgeous display of pastries and breads is bound to beckon you inside Pasticceria Rizzardini. Albeit tiny, this quaint bakery is large on selection and taste. From baguettes, cookies, cakes, pastries, croissants, tarts and more; most of Italian baked goods make way through their ovens on to the racks. In addition, they have a selection of wines and other spirits too. Devour a cup of coffee with a slice of Tiramisu and enjoy the sweet coma that will enchant you till you come to Pasticceria Rizzardini again.
