The First Presbyterian Church of Oyster Bay has some stories to tell - it was completed in 1873 in a "stick-style" architecture, whose sharp wooden angles and white detailing can still be viewed today. A few years later, a young Theodore Roosevelt would attend services at this church, long before he became the 26th president of the United States. Today, he is buried a short way down the road, in a cemetery beside the route to his Sagamore Hill home. The First Presbyterian Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
