"Artistic Church"
A Portuguese church in the small town of Almancil was built in the 16th century dedicated to a Catholic martyr Lourenço de Huesca. The pearl white church building reflects classic Baroque style architecture with carvings on the door and inside the dome. Interior of the church is fully tiled with imprints describing the scenes from São Lourenço’s life. This church is indeed an artistic treasure crafted by the greatest sculptor in Algarve.
