Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House Museum

This majestic antebellum house and city landmark, built in 1855, is now converted into a historic museum housing a variety of historic exhibits. Passed down through several historic Fayetteville families (which explains the multiple names), the museum features an exhibit of memorabilia from Margaret Mitchell's Gone With The Wind, a replica of the first flag made in Fayette County, relics from the Civil War and a garden of native and historically important plants! Self-guided and guided tours available.

Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force

The Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force is a fully functional World War II aircraft museum that focuses on educating people on the history and aircraft technology of the period. In addition to providing live examples of aircraft, the Air Force puts on regular events that showcase the historical airplanes in flight. In addition to highlighting the best American aircraft used during World War II, the Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force also presents select aircraft from other countries in an effort to provide a complete educational experience for each of its visitors.

Lake Kedron

Lake Kedron is a 235-acre (95-hectare) water reservoir located in northern Peachtree that provides a relaxing getaway for visitors and Fayette County residents alike. In addition to providing the area with fresh water in times of drought, Lake Kedron is a place for people to enjoy swimming, fishing and other fun water activities.

Flat Creek Nature Area

The Flat Creek Nature Area is easily accessible from the McIntosh Trail complex. Once inside the area, there are 513 acres (207 hectares) of wetlands for you to explore. A wooden boardwalk and viewing platforms are conveniently placed to allow you to explore the wetlands without getting your feet wet!

Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater

This open-air amphitheater (known to locals as The Fred) was originally built to be the home for the famous drama The McIntosh Trail. Over the years, its purpose evolved. In the late 1980s, with the help of the City's Recreation Department, it began to hold concerts for senior citizens. Local theater groups then began to use it for their shows, as did the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. It is now most famous for the summer concerts series, where wonderful artists come out to perform for crowds that can reach 1600 people.

Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse

This Midtown dinner theater provides good food and great Shakespearean entertainment. The Atlanta Shakespeare Company, which manages The New American Shakespeare Tavern, was the first American company to perform at London's Globe Theatre. A traditional English pub meal is offered during the hour before the show. A full bar features Harp, Bass, and Guinness, as well as a few wines. Seating is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early. Call for performance schedule.
