Meyer Children's Hospital
"Children's Hospital"
Located in Florence, this is one of the prime children's hospitals in the region and with a specialized team of doctors and high-end equipment. It was founded in 1884 and was one of the first hospital institutions in Italy to be devoted to child health care, right from birth to adolescence. The hospital rose to fame after the World War II, as it successfully treated tubercular meningitis for the first time, under the supervision of Professor Casare Cocchi.
