Castellina in Chianti is a small town located in the Chianti Hills which stretch across Tuscany. The town dates all the way back to the medieval ages when it was inhabited by Etruscans of ancient Italy before it was devastated by invasions by the Gauls. The town later came into Roman rule and was made into a fife. The town has several historic sites worth checking out including the Rocca castle which is now a museum on the Etruscan civilization, the Palazzo Bianciardi and the Church of San Martino which follows the Romanesque style.

Located at Borgo Pinti, Santa Maria Maddalena dei Pazzi was a church devoted to Saint Mary Magdelan. The history of this church can be traced back to 14th Century when it was built. This church has been renovated multiple times throughout the centuries. Though the exteriors of this church are simple, its interiors are richly adorned with artifacts and paintings by renowned artists. This structure features the frescoes by Bernardino Poccetti, Dominico Ghirlandaio, while the stained glass window is by Isabella and some sculptures by Innocenzo Spinazzi and many others.
The Florence War Cemetery is found near the Italian city of Florence, where the Arno river flows past it. It is a burial site maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, where soldiers killed during the Second World War are buried. When the cemetery was established in 1944, it was for the purpose of creating graves for soldiers who had lost their lives in hospitals in the Florence area. Instead, most of those buried here were killed during action in Florence and its surroundings during Allied capture between July and September 1944. Of the 1632 burials in the cemetery, 82 were moved to it after the end of the war.
