The priory of Lavaray was founded in the beginning of the 12th Century amidst the beautiful location of Lavaray. This fortified 4 story structure houses a large manor and has a tall watch tower on the northeast corner. The outer walls are scribed with arches and vaults and the ground floor is separated by a vaulted semi-circular cradle, a practice reminiscent to that of ancient French architecture.
