"Remembering the War Heroes"

Massard Prairie Battlefield Park is located at the junction of Morgan Way and Red Pine Drive and features a major section of the war site where the iconic Battle of Massard Prairie happened in the year 1864. Built to honor the Civil War bloodshed of the 19th Century, the park is home to four battle sites including two military camps, mess area and the parade ground. A war monument with a flag are also found inside, along with a trail that takes walkers through the iconic camp site used by the 6th Kansas Cavalry.
