Chronicling eight decades of history, Fort Smith National Historic Site goes far back to the 19th Century. Ben Geren Regional Park is an oasis of verdant expanses and sports facilities in the heart of Fort Smith. The park is home to some of the state's best biking trails. While some of these paved biking ways are ADA-usable, some of these are jagged and scabrous, requiring adept navigating skills from the mountain bikers. Ben Geren Park also features well-maintained horseshoe pits that provide complete entertainment to families and large groups. Additionally, a large playground and a soccer field are also built inside the park.

The Creekmore Park is a local park situated in the city of Fort Smith that is open to the public.
