Easily identifiable by the magnificent Arte-Deco-style clock tower that stands at its center, Praça do Ferreira is one of Fortaleza's most recognizable landmarks that spans over an area of 7,603 square meters (81,838 square feet). Located in the heart of the city, the square is bordered by iconic streets like Rua Major Facundo and Rua Floriano Peixoto and is forever bustling with activity. The square was landscaped by celebrated Mayor Antonio Rodrigues Ferreira and is named in his honor.
