Established in 1993, Teatro da Praia had humble beginnings, operating from a decrepit-looking historic warehouse. Slowly but surely, the theater gained footing and recognition for its eclectic programs. Today, the theater is housed in a 200-seat facility, with modern facilities, and offers and exciting mix of upcoming local talents as well as renowned national groups. Besides this, the theater is also actively involved in numerous artistic and social projects for spreading cultural awareness. Visitors can enjoy coffee and light bites at the on-site cafe.
