This urban farmer's market provides a funky little collection of produce and livestock offerings to Atlanta's in-town shoppers. Set in the historically-black Sweet Auburn neighborhood, the market turns out as many as 25 vendors at any given time. Organic produce is the specialty, but you'll also find an unparalleled assortment of rabbits, fowls and other small livestock for sale. Various entertainers gather around the booths and displays, offering gospel, soul and other forms of musical diversion.
Located on the Memorial Drive, The Little Tart is a charming bakery with lots to offer. Amazing cookies, galettes, quiches and of course, tarts will be found on the menu here along with many other confections that blend the fine arts of Southern cooking and French pâtisserie. This Grant Park joint offers some of the best ham n' cheese croissants in the city also, the creme fraiche quiches come highly recommended.
Housed in a nondescript structure on Carroll Street, Little's Food Store may be easy to overlook; but be assured you will be missing out on some delicious burgers. Little's Food Store was established in 1929, and has remained unchanged since then. The grocery store and deli has been delighting customers for more than eight decades, garnering a huge clientele that only keeps on growing. The burgers keep people coming back for more.
