Founded in 1875, Calvary Baptist Church has remained a church which is a class apart from others. In its long history, it has changed locations and names several times, but their morals have remained intact. People praise it for its teachings and practices, which lets Calvary carve a niche in the community. The church encourages the spread of education, not just among the members but also across the community. Located within the Wharton State Forest, Batsto Village is a historic site, that is infact an old human settlement that came into being due to the industries of Batsto. The Batsto river flows through the village and was once used as a bathing spot. Now, this river is used for canoeing through the 3 miles (4.82 kilometers) of its length. The Village consists of historic homes, mills, mansion, farm, animal shelter and slaughterhouse, small factories and a church. You could opt for dwelling by you own through the village, or request for a guide in advance. They also have a museum and a gift shop on-site as well.
