Ibiza's Contemporary Art Museum (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, or MAC, for short), can be found in one of the historic buildings that is part of the city walls - the arms room in the San Juan bastion, above the main gate of the city walls, la Puerta de Taules. The museum came into being as a result of the biennial international art show that took place for the first time in 1963. Nowadays, the museum organizes several exhibitions throughout the year, including collections of works by local contemporary artists, as well as exhibitions organized by other entities. The museum continues to organize the biennial international art exhibition, which includes works from all over the world. The works owned by the museum include pieces by Barry Flanagan, Hans Hinterreiter, Erwin Broner and Will Faber.
Casa Amatller is one of Barcelona's most famous and recognizable landmarks. The structure belongs to the Manzana de la Discordia, or Block of Discord, which features famous architecture designed by the fathers of modernista architecture: Gaudí, Domènech i Muntaner, and the designer of Casa Amatller, Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Upon visiting the house, visitors will get to enjoy the preserved modernist interior, complete with original furniture. Please note that visitors must make reservations to enter and tour the exquisite house.
The Torre de les Aigüesis only one of the courtyards left in the Eixample district that is still open to visitors - it was a water tower that has now been transformed into a swimming pool where children and adults alike can swim to their heart's content on a sunny day. There are even complimentary changing rooms, toilets and a bar available for the purchasing of drinks.

This is a French baroque-style palace built by architect Josep Ribes in 1770 for the ex-viceroy of Peru, Manuel Amat i Junyent, who thought it would please his new wife. Palau de la Virreina is now headquarters to the Town Hall's Cultural Department. The exhibition center shows works by some of Catalonia's most important contemporary artists, like Oriol Bohigas and Antoni Abad.
