Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona

Moritz, the celebrated beer brand was established by Louis Moritz in 1856, a French immigrant to the country. Today its yellow trademark logo has stamped the cards of bars across the globe. As an extension of its long standing beer legacy, a trendy bar occupies the old microbrewery. Architect Jean Nouvel breathed new life into the historic Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona with an illuminated warm palette and exposed brick beams to call as decor. Indulge in organic and unpasteurized ales and lagers, best complimented with tapas and local specialties on offer. The ambiance is always buzzing with energy and retains its rustic charm.

Restaurant Via Veneto

Run by José Monje, this immensely-popular restaurant serves a wonderful range of signature dishes that are carefully-crafted the real Catalan way. Its immaculate reputation has transformed it into a firm favorite among the city's rich and famous. Some of the restaurant's main features include an extensive wine list, a wood-fired oven, top-end service, and a special four-course menu that changes each and every day. Decorated in the modernist style, you'll feel cushioned from the hustle and bustle outside in this exclusive and elegant setting. Guests can also reserve a private dining area if they wish to experience an intimate dining experience.

Alkimia

Well known for his take on Catalan cuisine, Chef Jordi Vilà showcases his skills at Alkimia. A regular stop for food connoisseurs, it bears his trademark style with innovative ingredients and methods that compile a unique Catalan meal. Start with peas with cuttlefish and move on to the Ñoras rice with saffron and fresh langoustine. Then, indulge in the Artichoke salad with Iberian ham. A Prix-fixe menu is also provided to diners in a dilemma. Experience the distinct texture and flavor of each ingredient in the dishes that lend their magic to make the meal memorable.

Michael Collins

Michael Collins has built a good reputation for itself as an Irish-Catalan pub since opening its doors in 1997. Frequented not only by locals but even tourists from around the globe, this pub is located right across the Temple of Sagrada Familia. The best thing about Michael Collins is the service, which is unlike anywhere else. Sports banter over pints of Guinness coupled with homemade Irish fare and bumbling Irish tunes beats every other remedy for a long day.

L'Ovella Negra

L'Ovella Negra is a well-known beer hall that attracts a young crowd of international students and travelers. Its name translates to "Black Sheep", and the original and more noteworthy of its two locations is on a small side-street off Las Ramblas. With darts, pool and long wooden tables that can accommodate up to a dozen people, it is no wonder why this joint is always packed. The cheap pitchers of beer, delicious pints of sangria, and rustic atmosphere keep the nights going late. This is a great place to go with a large group of friends or to meet new one.

Dunnes

Dunnes tries to recreate the vibe of a traditional Irish drinking joint and doesn't fail. Tucked in the Gothic Square, merely a stone's throw away from Jaume I train station, this pub is the perfect spot if you're looking for a place to unwind or catch some live sports action. The threadbare brick walls, wooden bars and high vaulted ceiling make the place feel intimate yet spacious at the same time. Homemade fare of Irish Stew, Bangers & Mash, Chicken Burger and Fajitas perfectly complements the Guinness, Magners and other beers. And if you're into football then come down on a game night and experience the game in a fun and convivial atmosphere with the swag crowd.
