Noto is a small spot on the very dynamic and evolving Torstraße in Mitte. The place keeps its interior design and the menu simple but classy. There's a daily four-course set menu and a small but good selection of wine and spirits. The food is good, fresh and worth every single euro. While the place gets associated with the new hip area known as "North of Torstraße," the atmosphere is not chic and aloof, as you might expect. Instead, the the staff is very warm and friendly, and the restaurant has a quiet, private atmosphere. They have an open kitchen, and a menu that tends toward Mediterranean dishes. As the place is very small, you should make a reservation to make sure you get a spot. -Fabian Saul
