Located in Friendship Heights, The Jack Guidone Theater was opened in 1995 as a casual theater space named after one of Joy of Motion Dance Center's founding faculty members. The theater continues to act as an important performance venue, especially for most of JOMDC’s in-house and student productions. If you are searching for an intimate space to perform, the theater is also available for rent. Jack Guidone Theater concert tickets go on sale 4 weeks prior to the show weekend. Tickets go off sale 24 hours prior to showtime.
The Children's Art Studio is a nonprofit organization with the belief that art is imperative to the emotional and intellectual growth of a child. With classes, workshops and camps offered, along with need-based scholarships in the event that money is an issue, each child is given individual attention based on their area of talent. Children are taught to plan, persevere, and capitalize on their creativity.
The Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium is where all the performing arts magic takes place. A number of plays are annually organized to encourage the students to develop their skills in performing arts. Besides, academic and cultural events of the school are hosted here.
Nestled in the Glen Echo Park, the Chautauqua Tower was built in 1892. This tower is the only extant reminder of the Chautauqua movement. Added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1980, this tower is transformed in to an art space and every month showcases the work of a new artist.
