Part of Playhouse Square, Mimi Ohio Theatre has its own fan following in the arena of programs and concerts. It consists of the main and the top floor with a total capacity to seat 1000 people. Originally opened as the Ohio Theatre in 1921, almost all of the original structure was lost to a fire accident in 1964. West Side Market brings together a group of more than 100 vendors selling their wares to locals and tourists alike. The heritage building housing the stalls was constructed in 1912 as an indoor marketplace and has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The market itself began operations in 1840 and is Cleveland's oldest public market. Aromatic herbs, spices, oils, nuts, poultry, seafood and meat are just a few of the food categories found here. Peninsula Depot was built to function as the customer service center for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. The railroad is a privately operated tourist railway that makes it way through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, running between Independence and Akron. The rail route offers a beautiful view of the surrounding nature and wildlife. You will get information about the excursions at Peninsula Depot, which is one of the stops along this route. Tickets are also available at the depot.

Housed inside the Dittrick Medical History Center, the museum is a storehouse of rare medical books, records and objects that are fascinating to say the least. Browse through the collection of surgical equipment, medical instruments and exhibits. There are replicas of a doctor's cabin dating back to 1875 and 1930 that reinvents the old-world charm complete with a human skeleton and a fireplace. A gallery exhibits the history of contraception in the country as well.
