Since its inception in 1857, St. Mary's Episcopal Church has been serving the spiritual and religious needs of the local community. This beautiful structure reflects Late Gothic Revival architectural designs and was built according to plans designed by local architect William Halsey Wood. The church has spectacularly laid out interiors and a charming red brick facade. It conducts regular services and prayers.

The Kansas City Public Library is centrally-situated in Kansas City, Missouri with its branches spread across city. Founded in 1973, it is one of the largest and oldest libraries in the city. It has a distinct collection of local history, maps, photographs, printed and unpublished materials, post cards and much more. Apart from offering books and documents, the library also provides various classes for distinguished age groups. The Kansas City Live Stock Exchange has been the headquarters of the Kansas City Stockyards. The building was constructed from 1909 to 1911 and boasted of being one of the biggest livestock company in the entire world during that time. It is of historic importance and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At present, it serves as an office complex with various businesses as well as personal services. Often Kansas City is referred to as the "City of Fountains" and considering there are more than a hundred different ones in town, the moniker is apt. This fountain is the most popular and probably the most photographed in KC. It is reminiscent of the 'Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi' located in Rome's Piazza Navona with its four equestrian figures that represent mighty world rivers. In fact, this fountain was created entirely in Paris then transported to the Mackay Estate in New York before it was finally moved here.

The sprawling Kansas City Zoo, which attracts close to 700,000 visitors annually, is divided into sections named for areas of the world, from Africa and Australia to Farmland USA. Visitors can walk the 202-acre (88 hectares) park or ride trams from one place to another. There is also a guided train tour that allows guests to see park highlights without the fatigue.
