Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge was once the residence of the Lieutenant Governors of Quebec, but post a fire accident in 1966 the place has been converted into a public garden. This historic garden in Quebec offers tourists a wonderful refuge among colorful flowers and soothing shade under maple, white spruce and oak trees. The garden offers a variety of activities for the visitors ranging from cycling around the park to walking areas, horticultural visits etc.

This is one of Quebec City's most popular parks and historical attractions. Commemorating the daring 1759 attack in which Quebec fell to the British under the leadership of General Wolfe, Plaines d'Abraham features two striking Martello Towers offering rotating displays and great views over the St Lawrence River. The interpretive center is housed in the Musée du Québec.
Skirting the Saint Lawrence River, this 2.5 kilometer (1.55 mile) stretch is one of the most picturesque recreational spaces in the city. Besides refreshing views of the meandering river, the beautifully laid-out promenade offers numerous delightful experiences from lush woodlands for nature lovers to play areas for the sports enthusiasts. Worth a special mention is the Station des Quais, a series of gardens showcasing artistic interpretations of the great river. Opened in 2008, the promenade has garnered wide acclaim and numerous awards for its design, and has become one of the most popular public spaces in the city.
This lush patch of green serves as a refreshing retreat in the urban locale of Charlesbourg. Named after the large number of mills that once populated the industrial area, the nearly 9-hectare (22.24-acre) park is impeccably laid out with beautiful landscaping and natural features. The Riviere du Berger flowing through the park, and the numerous flower and rock gardens, add to its beauty. Ideal for leisurely strolls and picnics, the park is a popular recreation space for locals.
