The Black Diamond, simply known as "The Diamond," is an extension of the Royal Library, designed in a modern architectural style, smooth as a mirror, by the architect firm Schmidt, Hammer and Lassen. The main entrance to the Royal Library is from Søren Kierkegaards Square, and you'll find the ticket office as well as restrooms, the cloakroom and a bookshop here. The entrance to Restaurant Søren K is from the vestibule. The entrance to the Queen's Auditorium is from Christians Brygge 9. This hall is hired out for different arrangements of rhythmic and classical music, as well as for some lectures and conferences. Tickets for the musical arrangements can be bought at the ticket office.

Ce monument grandiose fut érigé en 1889-96 d'après des plans dessinés par Wilhelm Dahlerup et G.E.W. Mller, dans le style renaissance italien. En automne 1998, une extension qui donna au musée d'art national le ravalement dont il avait besoin fut ouverte. Anna Maria Indrio et Mads Mller étaient les architectes. Ce nouvel édifice profondément original fut construit dans le parc derrière l'édifice orignal et est connecté à lui par une allée couverte, "la rue des sculptures". La 'rue' s'étend tout le long du musée et dedans sont tenus des concerts et des représentations de danse. Le musée contient des collections d'art datant du douzième siècle. Parmi les anciennes collections européennes et danoises, vos yeux se régalent des peintures de Titian, Tintoretto, Breugel, Rubens, Frans Hals et Rembrandt. La collection moderne comprend des uvres de Picasso, Braque, Léger, Modigliani et Emil Nolde. Les peintres danois sont aussi richement représentés et vous pouvez profiter des styles de Oluf Hst, Ed ward Weihe, Olaf Rude et Harald Giersing.

Ouvert en 1996, le Vega consiste en deux salles de concert à la pointe de la technologie : une plus grande pour 1500 personnes et une plus petite pour 500 personnes s'époumonant lors de concerts donnés régulièrement. Cinemateket is in the heart of Copenhagen, between Kongens Nytorv and Nørreport Station, and is part of the Danish Film Institute. The architecturally interesting building contains two cinema theaters, a library, a videoteque, a bookshop and a café, all in a fashionable atmosphere. The repertoire varies with different themes each month; almost all genres are represented at some time throughout the year. Each film is screened twice or thrice a month, and the prices are relatively low per ticket. Some short flicks and children's films are free, but you normally have to order the tickets in advance. Cinemateket is the only cinema in Copenhagen with such a varied repertoire, and is an especially fun place to bring children on a rainy day.
