The svelte and suave Fountain Place boasts an impressive designing finesse, giving the neighboring Bank of America Plaza a run for its money. Conceptualized by sought-after architect I.M. Pei, Fountain Place is like a soaring, blue prism whose facade reflects the increasingly urbane way of life of downtown Dallas. However, the very fact that it has been worked upon by a collective of award-winning architects, cements it as one of Dallas's most recognizable skyscrapers. Displaying a different visage from every angle, this strikingly contemporary edifice is adorned with a troupe of fountains and water jets performing a choreographed routine that changes throughout the day. An integral structure punctuating the skyline of the city, the imposing, skillfully-constructed building is, in all true senses, a marvel of the 21st century.

Dressed in yellow and magenta, D-Link buses are run by DART, Downtown Dallas, Inc. and the City of Dallas to allow tourists to explore the various attractions, districts, restaurants, shopping destinations and cultural areas with ease. Not only is the whole trip covered within 45 minutes but buses also depart every 15 minutes beginning from 11p to ensure everyone’s schedule can match the bus timings. The Baptist Fountain which is inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ is located inside the Jeffress Fountain Plaza campus. The cylindrical center piece of the fountain has water gushing down itself and then spring up from the faucets which form the rim of the bowl. A 66 feet (20 meter) high cross stands proudly at the top of the fountain. On special occasions, one can witness the fountain's choreographed dances complemented with beautiful light installations.

The sole survivor of the 1920's movie palaces, this restored showplace is an honored venue for a variety of performers. It has helped breathe new life into the Arts District. Gilded and ornate, its prestige sweeps patrons into a another time. This venue seats just over 1,600 people. It hosts the Majestic Broadway Series as well as the world-renowned Dallas Black Dance Theater. Additional commercial performers have one-night only or multiple night runs.

Step into West End and you are instantly taken back in time. Beautifully restored and renovated old buildings among tree-lined streets and brick sidewalks, testify to the historical importance of this district that was established in 1872. Apart from the ancient buildings whose architecture never ceases to marvel, the district also has museums, amazing stores and delicious restaurants.
