Encompassing an area of 296 acres (120 hectares), Van Buren State Park is home to the 45-acres (18 hectares) Van Buren Lake. Located close to Van Buren village in Hancock County, this park opened its doors in 1950. This wooded state park has a variety of animals like white-tailed deer, skunk, red squirrel, opossum, red fox and many others. This scenic park is perfect to visit for overnight camping, hiking, boating and fishing. Anglers can catch a variety of fish like crappie, bluegill, bullhead and largemouth bass.
Doyt Perry Stadium opened in 1966 and is the home ground of Bowling Green Falcons. The stadium was named after the famous university coach of Bowling university, Doyt. L. Perry. It has been renovated a number of times, in order to expand its seating and facilitate it with better field ground. Located on the ground of Bowling Green State University, the stadium has modern amenities like, escalators, training rooms for golf, training rooms for athletes, it also facilitates elaborate concession stands for patrons. The stadium has a special VIP seating area reserved for the President and VIP suites for the guests.
