Frauensee is located in Tyrol in Austria, at an elevation of 972 meters (3189 feet) in the Reutte District of the Genhrenspitze municipality. The lake covers an area of one hectare (2.5 acres) in the Tannheimer mountains. There is a trail up to the lake from Lechaschau which has a motor road. It is used as a swimming lake during summers as it conditions a pleasant temperature.
