As you walk through the Südseite des Münsterplatzes, you will come across a magnificent building with a beautiful red facade. This is the Historisches Kaufhaus, an old departmental store building dating back to the 14th Century. The building is an important historic landmark in the city and its architecture is quite noteworthy. The building features sculptures of old rulers, Gothic elements and ornate design on the exterior. The interiors comprise of the Kaisersaal, Kaminsaal, Historische Stube, Rokokosaal and Innenhof. Each room is designed differently and houses several old relics and paintings. Today, the Historisches Kaufhaus conducts several local events, concerts, business conferences, meetings and wine tasting sessions.

Evangelische Pauluskirche

The Evangelische Pauluskirche has been at its current location since the 7th Century but it was properly rebuilt following the Neo-Romansque style of architecture in the 18th Century. The beautiful, red exterior and its towering steeple beckons locals and travelers inside this sight that is graced with an ornate altar and a charming organ. The church also has a carved crucifix and four bronze bells that intrigue every visitor.
