A regular church building complete with its own bell turret, St Margaret's Church is a classic example of Victorian architecture. It houses the names of people from the 14th Century who were part of the community back then. Halstead, where the church building is located, was known for its secondary settlements that were maybe used for stock grazing in Saxon times. 19th Century was a good period for the location because trade increased and the community grew in the area. Thus, strawberries were grown in the church’s vicinity for a while too.
