Meopham Windmill is a lovely historic windmill that is located in the heart of the Meopham city. The mill was built way back during the 18th century by three brothers from the Killick family. The mill was used by the Killick family for many years after which it was sold to the Norton family. This three storey smock mill is built on a brick base and is winded by a fan tail. This is a great site to visit with family, kids or go on a field trip in order to learn about this period windmill.
The London Central Mosque is located in the Regent's Park, and was built over 50 years ago. Architecturally, the building is stunning, with a golden dome, marble floors and intricate mosaics. However, the mosque is not merely a showpiece; practically, it can accommodate over 4,500 people for prayer meetings, which are held serveral times every day. The Islamic Cultural Centre is next to the mosque. This provides London's Muslim community with a reference library and concert hall, as well as a place for meetings, and educational outings for children. The Centre is also licensed to conduct wedding ceremonies.
Gunnersbury Triangle is a six-acre (2hecters 4281.1 square meters) treasury of wildlife in West London. A nature trail snakes around the Triangle and fishing is permitted in the large pond. So get your fishing rods, nets and old jam jars, out of the shed. Binoculars will help you to see the great ornithological variety here.
