The Bentley Priory Nature reserve located in the London Borough of Harrow is a 135 acre (54.6 hectares) wide natural reserve. It has meadows, grasslands, woods, streams, ponds and an artificial lake. There is even a private deer park open to visitors which forms the main attraction of the reserve. Since it a part of it is privately owned, some areas and the gardens are restricted to the public. It is a natural habitat for a wide range of plant life like the common bent, red fescue, Yorkshire fog, greater burnet, great burnet and spotted orchid. Birds like the buzzard, spotted flycatcher, and bullfinch have also been spotted in the park. It is a great natural gate away for locals and tourists alike.
Beckenham Crematorium and Cemetery is a quiet, tranquil cemetery stretching over 12 hectares(0.12 square kilometers) of lush green landscapes. An ideal final resting place for the departed, this cemetery was established in 1956. The site features a quaint chapel designed in the distinctive Gothic architectural style, a dome shaped structure holding the Book of Remembrance, and a strikingly beautiful waterscape. This crematorium also features several graves belonging to the soldiers who lost their lives owing to the cataclysmic First World War, as well as burials belonging to the members of Beckenham Auxiliary Fire Service.
