The birthplace of the artist James McNeill Whistler was converted into the Whistler House Museum of Art and opened in 1908. This house museum offers a beautiful collection of paintings and there is an artist's studio at the top floor as well. Some of the paintings are part of the permanent exhibit while some change from time to time; all of these are beautifully preserved. In the backyard of the house, there is a small art gallery where many exhibits are showcased. Another advantage of this house is that you can rent it out for private events and functions.
