Parc Pierre-Laporte is among the nine parks in the borough of Greenfield Park in Longueuil. It features athletic fields for baseball, soccer and football, a hockey rink, playground, swimming and wading pool, volleyball and basketball court, a petanque court and a clubhouse. This park also regular competitions for junior baseball and football teams. It is also the site of the annual Canada Day celebrations.
Nestled in the Villeray area of Montreal, the Jarry Park is one of the many city parks. Named after the honorable city council member, Raoul Jarry, this park is home to the Uniprix Stadium. Apart from that, it also features tennis courts, a pool, cricket field, skate park and special field for softball. The artificial lake and the 'Paix des enfants' monument at this park make for interesting landmarks. In the past, Jarry Park has hosted the La fête nationale du Québec, and singers like Christine Charbonneau, Clémence Desrochers, Pierre Calvé and many others sang here as a part of the event.
While strolling on rue Vézina, the massive complex of the Aréna Bill-Durnan is impossible to miss. This arena boasts of an extensive ice rink which plays host to many Ice Hockey matches, making it a must-visit for those who follow the game. On days when there isn't much Hockey action happening, the rink is used for recreational skating. Children and adults can swirl around the ice and cool off on summer days here. Ice Skating classes are also available at the arena.
Colisée Jean Béliveau is an indoor ice-hockey arena constructed in 1958. It has been home to various teams and also has hosted major league matches. The seating capacity of the stadium is 2400.
