Nestled in the picturesque confines of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Happy Days Lodge is a beautiful historic structure from the 1930s. The expansive wooden building is a protected historic structure, and is available for private events. The historic parcel of land that Hale Farm & Village is built on was donated to The Western Reserve Historical Society by Clara Belle Ritchie. Historic buildings from around the country were relocated to the land to create a living history museum and village called Wheatfield. Visitors will learn about life during the Civil War and the history of the region. Exhibits relating to fashion, technology, and other subjects can be seen here as well.
Brushwood Lake is the highlight of the Furnace Run Metro Park and is a popular spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature. The lake is home to a number of reptiles and is also great for fishing and has over 60 species of fish. However, catch-and-release fishing is recommended in order to protect the environment. You can also grab a picnic lunch and enjoy it with the family on the banks of the lake.
Fun 'n' Stuff is an entertainment park with both indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. Some of the activities have age and height restrictions and each is individually priced. Bulk tickets are available, too. Their laser tag arena has an intergalactic theme, while the bumper cars arena has a castle theme. You can skate around in the roller skating rink on quad or in-line wheeled skates, or have fun at the Cannon Ball Blasters or bounce and flip on the Eurobungy. Bowling, arcade games, pirate shooting are just some of the other indoor activities available at the park. The outdoor games include Human Hamster balls, go-karts, looping bikes, two mini golf courses, and batting cages.
