The Alpsee is situated in the quaint Bavarian mountainside, near the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The highest elevated castle in the country, Falkenstein Castle and its ruins are located at a height of 1277 meters (4190 feet) in the Bavarian Alps.
