The Museum Village Krumbach is a great way to experience the village life of the inhabitants of this region in the past. The imposing Forchtenstein Castle is considered to be one of the most significant landmarks of Burgenland. Located in the heart of Burgenland's west-facing peaks, the stately monument was constructed to shield the town boundaries from the attackers in the 13th Century. It is the sole bulwark of Burgenland which never went down during the long-lived Turkish wars. The castle's soaring keep is one of its key highlights and can be seen from a faraway distance. Forchtenstein Castle was used by the royals of Esterházy to store all their prized possessions. The royal families' personal collections are exhibited today in a charming atmosphere.

Une terrible épidémie de peste entraîna la construction de la célèbre église de pèlerinage dont la première pierre fut posée en 1728. Au début du XIXe siècle l'église Maria Schutz fut deux fois sévèrement endommagée. En 1826 suite à un incendie qui détruisit les deux clochers à bulbe et les cloches, en 1837 suite à un tremblement de terre qui causa de gros dégâts. Aujourd'hui les deux clochers à bulbe de l'église sont visibles de loin, à l'intérieur on est impressionné par le splendide maître-autel orné d'une statue de la Vierge en bois sculpté.
