Mikimoto, a boutique shop located in Ginza district showcases a beautiful collection of pearl jewelry. The boutique, designed by Toyo Ito, is a wonder with its beautiful lavender facade. Many exquisite pearls designed and showcased here. Founded by Kokichi Mikimoto, this boutique was one of the first to bring cultured pearls to Singapore. The unique designs available here have made it a known name across the globe.
This store, founded way back in 1892, is the king of all Ginza shops offering music-related goods. Six floors of CDs, MDs, videos and musical instruments can be found here. The store also offers a repair service and the seventh floor has an event space. Easy to find, Yamano Music is directly opposite Mitsukoshi Department Store. There is always a special promotion stand on the street outside its front door.
Not to be outdone by its luxury label rivals, Gucci opened a tower in Ginza in 2006 and, as can only be expected from one of the world's most iconic brands, it epitomized sheer luxury both in architecture and interior. The specially-designed glass facade, which almost resembles books lined up on shelves, was designed by James Carpenter, a glass specialist. On the fourth floor of the building, you will find the brand's very own Italian cafe, which serves a delicious tiramisu.

Now considered the oldest and most prestigious design store in the city, Wako has exclusive watches, jewelry, handbags, porcelain and dishware. The store also has a wide clothing collection for men and women. You can find the store's branches in Hiroo, Minato and Haneda Airport as well. Situated within an old-fashioned building with a clock tower, the store is something else to behold at night, with fancy lights drawing attention to it.
